Having worked with steel from the age of 12 there has always been an appreciation for it and the craftsmanship of old. 

I managed to get myself a piece of rail track and fashioned an anvil and built myself a forge. The first items I made were pry bars from Re-bar as those were the tools I needed at the time.

In 2019 I was able to buy my first anvil and 2020 with all its issues allowed me to do more work in the forge and broaden my skill. 

I bought a post vice from the 1800s and with it being a little worse for wear I restored it. I got a huge sense of enjoyment from bringing a tool with such history back to a fully functional state. This led to buying another and I have since restored a number of tools which I am actually using. The craftsmanship in these old tools is to be appreciated in this day and age of disposable equipment.
